Morrison Residence
This modern, concrete-and-glass home is situated on a dramatically steep site with panoramic views of the Oregon coast. In response to the steep site, and to maximize views from all rooms, the 2,750 square feet of living space sit atop a relatively narrow footprint. The south wall is primarily glass, and the roof and floor loads are supported on piers outside of the heated envelope, bringing the beauty of the ocean into the interior via floor-to-ceiling glass. The structure was designed to withstand high seismic and wind loads.
